Nina Garcia's Apartment

As director of the American Marie Claire and judge of the reality show Project Runway, Nina Garcia lives surrounded by fashion. So for decorate hers apartment, she wanted to feel disconnected from the fashion world, creating a peaceful and beautiful environment full of objects with sentimental value.

The spacious residence is actually formed by two neighboring apartments in a 1908 building located in the Upper East Side. To rebuild and unite environments, Nina was helped by the cuban designer Carlos Aparicio, owner of an art gallery in the SoHo district, known for the beautiful art collection  dating from the mid-century.

Although she wanted to leave the fashion world aside, some references to the subject are remarkable as the coiffeuse belonged to the american designer Geoffrey Beene, and of course, the dressing room.
